Cerro ist ein Ortsteil der Stadt Laveno-Mombello am Ostufer des Lago Maggiore und liegt auf der Seite der Lombardei. Der ruhige Ort zeichnet sich vor allem durch einen der schönsten Strände am Lago Maggiore, den Spiaggia di Cerro, aus. Nicht nur der feine Sand und die kleine Promenade laden zum Sonnenbad ein, sondern auch der malerische Anblick der Borromäischen Inseln.
Die Isola Madre ist durch die Überfahrt mit der Autofähre von Laveno nach Varese auch sehr schnell erreichbar. Darüber hinaus bietet Laveno mit dem Sasso del Ferro und dessen Seilbahn ein Abenteuer & und eine atemberaubendes Panorama über den mittleren See.
